Pumpkin Bear!

Here's a little cutie I made for my 2 Cute Rubber Stamps posting today!
Isn't this little bear adorable. Heidi did a fantastic job with him. I decided to keep the background the simple colors and just a little spider web embossed plus a couple of tiny spiders. When they are this tiny I don't mind them!
Do you have little ones to get into costumes? Wouldn't this be a cute one.
My boys are grown but the youngest still does Halloween. It's kinda scary now the costumes he comes up with. They are usually from some comic book character he likes! In fact, he did a great job one year dressing up as Logan/Wolverine from the X-Men comics. Don't be scared, most days he's normal!

new candy

YUMMY candy for a 1st blogaversary!

Stampin FluffnStuff.

Closes on Oct 20.

Saturday, October 9, 2010

The picture here is one I should have posted last week. That was when it went up on the 2 Cute Rubber Stamps site, but then I totally forgot to put it on my own site!
Yea, well, no one said I was perfect!

This next card is the new card for this Saturday!
I'm sending it to my brother-in-law as he likes getting cards from me. I don't send him near enough. I try sending cards for no reason, but find myself caught up in the ones for birthdays, and anniversaries, and all that til I sometimes just plain forget to just surprise someone with a card.

So I think I'm going to inform the family that starting in Janaury, I'm only sending cards to the kids and IF I DECIDED to send someone on their birthday, it will be a surprise. For them not to expect it necessarily. It's getting pretty costly to send them too. And, I only got two birthday cards last year from anyone other than my sons and hubby! And one of those was from my MOTHER!
It's not tit-for-tat, but hey, come on. I didn't even get but a very few get well cards for the breast cancer. My family just doesn't think along those lines I guess. So that's why I'm going back to just sending cards when I feel like it.

Sorry, some blogs just got to me the past few days. I guess I'm not the only one kinda feeling sorry for myself. OK - I'm off the bandwagon!
Enjoy the cards, and be sure to check out the store at 2 Cute Rubber Stamps! I'm positive there is a stamp that's just calling your name!

SSDS Saturday Challenge AND 2 CUTE RUBBER STAMPS

Hello everyone,
Happy Saturday to you. Today I have combined my card again using an image from 2 Cute Rubber Stamps for the Challenge at Stamp, Scrap and Doodle.
The challenge at SSDS was changed to be a Birthday Card for Operation Write Home (OWH) birthday celebration this month (they use to be know as Cards For Heroes).

We are asking that all the participants send their cards into OWH for our troups. The prize is from Craft Brulee http://www.craftbrulee.co.uk/

You can find the OWH shipping addresses here: http://www.operationwritehome.org/mailroom.html

This is from the OWH website...
OWH supports our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them. Our 'birthday' (anniversary of our official registration as an org) is Sept 12th — but we're stretching the party to last all month!

Operation Write Home began in 2007 with just a few cards made by friends on a message board; what began as an outlet for a hobby has become a much larger mission to help heroes keep in touch with home - and the effort has been joined by thousands of cardmakers!
OWH receives handmade cards donated by crafters across America (and beyond!). Cardmakers range in age, location, and level of skill; cards are provided by individuals and groups, schools and scouts, companies and churches. All have one primary thing in common: a desire to serve those who defend our nation!

Cards are mailed to one of our volunteer shippers in quanities both small and large. The shippers process, sort, repair, and document each donation, and then pack and ship boxes of over 300 cards each to our contacts. Our heroes request cards (families may also request on their behalf; we serve all branches in all deployed locations.

Tax-deductible donations of any size keep this work going - from $1 to any amount - and can be included with card donations to any shipper, mailed separately, or via Paypal.
Thank you for partnering with us!
SOME OTHER NEWS:
This is my last week that I'll combine these cards for the two Design Teams I'm on, as I have informed Regina that I will be stepping down from my DT position with SSDS next Saturday. I have truly enjoyed my time (I joined with the first batch of DT Members) with all the members and felt it was time to move on - and allow someone else to join in. There is a current search for DT members and I'm sure they'll find someone great to take over. I hope this allows me a little extra time to participate in more challenges.

The Stamp Spot Challenge (game)....

Here's a card I made for The Stamp Spot Challenge/Game that's due by the 19th.

The challenge was to make something that INSPIRES you! Well, anyone who works for this cause inspires me! I love this "young" image from Sassy Studio Designs and I also absolutely love this other image of Stella from Bugaboo!

This crappy disease doesn't pay attention to age, and neither do any of many wonderful ladies I've come to know who tirelessly work for this cause!

Ladies, I salute you (what it says on the inside) with this card!

Starts Monday...

It's a 1st Birthday Party! Check out all the fun stuff and the chances to win at the
Stamp Spot Blog!

Don't bother to enter though as I've provided his name already! Oh, alright, but I still think it's a cute name! But I also submitted the name Kolton too!

Nutcrafters #22

Well, once again I wish I was a better photographer.

This is a cute image from the set called Wedding Day, except I chose to make her look more like a bridesmaid all decked out in Pink!

This is for Challenge #22 at Nutcrafters Free choice.

freeibe at Sassy Studios

Just in case you don't already check out Sassy Studio Designs, go there today for a great freebie! One dear to my heart. They also have a fantastic deal on a great set of patriotic Honeys.

SSDS AND 2 Cute Rubber Stamps....

Happy Saturday everyone!
Well, I'm cheating - sort of.
I'm swamped and so I used my little bunny image from 2 Cute Rubber Stamps for my Thank You card for Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturday Challenge! Well, everyone else does multiple challenges, don't they?!
I love this little bunny. It was my first choice in stamps when I was invited to join the DT at 2 Cute Rubber Stamps. And it's such a fitting image for this challenge of Thank You.
I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Saturday where you are, and that you find some time to join in the challenge at SSDS!

There is a necklace giveaway on Sunday Here . Check it out! She shows you 5 and then a mystery one! Sounds fun to me!

2 Cute Rubber Stamps

Happy Saturday!

Here's my stamp for the day at 2 Cute Rubber Stamps. Isn't this little bee cute?

I have several friends that I need to send a card like this to, just to let them know I'm thinking of them.

I used Glossy Accents on the heart, and my nesties scalloped ovals to frame out the image of the bee. The paper is from a matstack called Flower Shower Spring.

Thanks for checking my card, and don't forget to stop by every day of the week to see what the other DT members have to show you. They are all very good, and these are great images!

SSDS Saturday Challenge...

Hi Everyone.
Well, here's my card today for the new challenge. Can you guess, it's Christmas!!
Well, this is actually very early for me. I don't normally make anything Christmasy at least until after Halloween!
But... that's the challenge. I love this little muffin image. And although my photography isn't great, the top part is actually "popped up" off the base and looks good that way!
Hope you get a chance to join us this week.

And I'm cheating here a little -- and letting people know that before too long I'll be stepping down from this DT group. It's been great, and I've loved it, but I also want to give someone else a chance to learn and grow like I have. I'm taking a break away, and hopefully they'll let me come back sometime. I've been here since the inception and have learned so much. These girls have pushed me sometimes to go beyond my comfort zone and I've stalled the whole way, but eventually did stretch and learn! Thanks ladies! (Even those who have been gone awhile like Micki and Boni and a few others too)!
