A card for Roy...

I apologize for the quality (or lack) of the photo, but I wanted to post this card because of the note I received from Lilly.
I had just kept a copy of the card for myself (I try to keep photos of most of the cards I've made) and never really intended to post about it. I've sent many cards like this as encouragement to people, not to put on the blog.
You see, I've been sending a few cards now and then to Roy & Lilly for encouragement especially to her husband (and she doesn't mind!!). And today, she sent a lovely note back saying he really has enjoyed this card since he cannot make it to the beaches any more. Now... I had no idea that he loved the beach, but when I saw this image, I just thought it would make a nice card for Roy. So I made the card and mailed it. How simple is that. But evidently it brought enjoyment to him, which was my focus. I'm so happy that it did!
They are going through some extremely difficult times. You can learn more about Roy and their struggles by checking out Lilly's blog . I encourage any cardmaker to do this, and then get busy and help by sending a card of encouragement to their whole family. They could certainly use it now! Prayers wouldn't hurt either!!
Also, I must apologize as I cannot remember where I found this freebie image. As soon as I saw it, I printed it and used it on this card and evidently didn't make note of it. Sorry! The sentiment says: Life's a Beach!....and sometimes you get a little sand in your bum; shore hope you are feeling better!

Roy asked me to take the card down from his "card wall" and hand it to him again last night. It just makes you smile! Such a sweet and thoughtful thing for you to do!

Thank you, again, dear one for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers~
