Here's a card I made with the new cupcake image from Birdie Brown. This was on sale, and I just had to get it!!

I love cupcakes, and they are so cute to use for anyone's birthday card. Who doesn't love 'em?!

Anji's Antics Challenge again

I don't know if this is allowed for the challenge, but I was on a roll today, so I used several more of the images to make cards. My hubby came home from work needing an older gentleman's birthday card, and then a friend's mother just passed away and I needed a sympathy card and I've learned to make more than one of those at a time, and since the challenge ends tonight, I decided to enter these also. If not allowed, I'm sure someone will tell me!

But they are great images, and worked perfectly for me today!

Well, I'm giving this Blog Candy another try. I thought for those of you who are suffering through winter, you might like a good read with dreams of summer!

I have a new book, just released this summer, that was written by my oldest son, Andrew Scott. And I'm giving a copy away as blog candy, along with some other crafting goodies that I'm compiling. (I may add a photo of those later)

I was very touched by this posting, as I've gone through some tough times with this crappy economy and still no job, but I've been Extremely Lucky and have won several blog candies in the past couple of years which have helped me a lot, and so I've sent one package off already, and working on another. I do have Tonya's mailing address if you want it and want the items to be a surprise. I really wanted my package to be a surprise, but of course I couldn't - I needed to know where to send it. So if you'd like to surprise her, I've asked and she's agreed I can share her mailing info with those who request it by email (mine is: terriavidreader at yahoo dot com).

My darling Dahlia turns one year old today, but we had her party yesterday because her daddy was off work, and it was the weekend and a better day for most guests.

She loved the special cake her Mama made just for her! A great time was had by all who attended! I don't think she'll be content with the bland baby food stuff any more!

project pieces

Here are a few of the project pieces I've been working on lately. I have tons of birthdays this month, and although these aren't all finished, they are mostly done which helps when the time comes to get things mailed!

I've also worked a little on some Valentine things too. And used my new cross dies with some shiny papers!

DLART - Thankful Thursdays

Thankful. Except for Thanksgiving, most people don't think about it. But this blog does. Often.

Here's something I'm thankful for right now, today.
My girlfriend loaned me her small Christmas tree so we'd have one up for my granddaughter this year (mine is huge and I mostly have blown glass ornaments - not good with an 11 month old granddaughter learning how to walk!) So.... I'm so thankful for my best bud Chris! Check this blog out!



Now this is more like a regular Christmas tree in this household.

I was inspired yesterday by a video from Lily Pad Cards and a new Skipping Stones stamp that I just got as blog candy! I love those music notes within the tree stamp!

Definitely something different, which is one thing I try for each year!

Christmas Angel card

Here's another recent card using a Digi Darla image. I mostly like CAS cards, and also because I mail most of them, I don't use as many embelishments as I might otherwise.

When I know I'm going to "hand out" a card, I go for a little more bling!

But I like the simplicity of this image and it's fitting for a CAS card.

Also, I won a month of images a while back using a Digi Darla image, and that was NICE!
