Husband passed....

Bob, my husband of 42 years, passed early yesterday morning.  He met the goals and more that we had set and died peacefully in his sleep.  It's been a long road since July and his terminal diagnosis. We've had some really good things happen during this time, but they were overshadowed by the knowledge that this day was coming much sooner than we'd like.

I don't know how much I'll be on this blog for a while.  Definitely not for many upcoming days.  I ask for your prayers to help me and our sons and family get through this time.

EDITED:  wanted to add this pic.  My local newspaper delivered yesterday - WOW, what a surprise.  My husband would be so happy (as a reporter) to be both what they call above the fold, and nearly all the whole front page!  The paper has done several articles, and you can go to  jconline.com and find them if you are interested at all.

I feel your pain... My father passed away from brain cancer in 2004 and it was a very difficult time for my family to see how the illness affected him more and more every day. We have to tell ourselves that they are in a better place now, and someday we will see them again. In passing, thank you for participating in my blog giveaway! Good luck!
