Viva Las Vegas!

There is a post you should see, but be quick... it ends Monday. but there is a FAB prize attached. I wanna win it!

FLLCJANRW2 Challenge

Here's a card I made for the New Year New Release at Flourishes and I'm doing a New Baby card.

Could also work for Valentine's Day, since I had these papers out already!

But we are always saying this phrase for my new granddaughter - who loves a little bunny she has!

Milk Coffee Digis

I just found a new blog/store, and wanted to share. It can be found Here.

And right now you can get a freebie image from them, and it's adorable.

They are new and don't have many followers yet - and you'll definitely want to start following them! I've gone back through all their posts, and they have some lovely images.

Fantastic candy chance - please say I sent you

Well, I've been following a blog for a while now, and she's having her First Blogaversary and giving a FANTASTIC candy - and in fact is having 2 candies. I'd love to win either one! So... go check it out and if you've never been before, please say that I sent you (that's one way I could win).

Here's where you need to visit: Taylored Concepts . This is open until February 7th!

project pieces

Here are a few of the project pieces I've been working on lately. I have tons of birthdays this month, and although these aren't all finished, they are mostly done which helps when the time comes to get things mailed!

I've also worked a little on some Valentine things too. And used my new cross dies with some shiny papers!

Merry Christmas

Here's a couple of cards I've made with some new stamps I've won recently. Love them both!

Wishing all the visitors to my blog a wonderful and Merry Christmas. I hope you get exactly what you are wishing for this holiday season.

May your new year be blessed in wondrous ways!

I'm saying a prayer today, on Jesus' birthday, that he'll watch over all of you and grant your wishes or at least see to all your needs.

Peace be with us all this coming year.

DLART - Thankful Thursdays

Thankful. Except for Thanksgiving, most people don't think about it. But this blog does. Often.

Here's something I'm thankful for right now, today.
My girlfriend loaned me her small Christmas tree so we'd have one up for my granddaughter this year (mine is huge and I mostly have blown glass ornaments - not good with an 11 month old granddaughter learning how to walk!) So.... I'm so thankful for my best bud Chris! Check this blog out!

Now this is more like a regular Christmas tree in this household.

I'm also going to enter this into a Christmas Tree link at Docerela Creations

Dilly Beans Challenge

Here's my card for the
Dilly Beans Snow Family Challenge .

This was a freebie image and it's a cutie.

This challenge ends on December 19, so get the image and get busy!

Edited to add:
I think I'm also going to submit this for the Pink Christmas Challenge at Docerela Creations .

A different Christmas card

I was inspired yesterday by a video from Lily Pad Cards and a new Skipping Stones stamp that I just got as blog candy! I love those music notes within the tree stamp!

Definitely something different, which is one thing I try for each year!

updated blog looks - all around everywhere

I'm seeing everyone updating their blog look and I'm jealous. But NikkiNix has a really pretty one! And a cute blinkie too.

Blogger seeking followers....

I've just found out about a fairly new blogger who is seeking some followers.

She's offered some Yummy candy, and she's got some really cute tags and things on her blog.

So, I'm urging you to check her out at Serenity Stamping.

McGill Red Card Kit

Would you like to win a Red Card kit?

Well, I would, so I'd like you to consider following McGill and

saying I sent you! Then you can sign up and ask others to join you in following them too.

Easy Peasy!

Cuttlebug Spot Challenge

Here's a little card I made using "leftovers" for the challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot.

I used some textured papers that were leftover and added some glitter glue on the snowflake too.

MY GRAFICO giveaway!

Wow, What a giveaway! I'm signed up, are you?

Well I hope not as I want to win it!

Well, OK, go check it out: http://www.partyblog.mygrafico.com

Christmas Angel card

Here's another recent card using a Digi Darla image. I mostly like CAS cards, and also because I mail most of them, I don't use as many embelishments as I might otherwise.

When I know I'm going to "hand out" a card, I go for a little more bling!

But I like the simplicity of this image and it's fitting for a CAS card.

Also, I won a month of images a while back using a Digi Darla image, and that was NICE!

Digi Darlas DT call

Go check it out Here if you are interested in learning more.
I think I'd love to use more of these images to make cards, and being a part of this DT sounds like fun!

I love their images, and have used them a lot. Here's one recent one card I made.

TTC06 Challenge

Here's a card I made for entry into the TTC06 (Touch Twin Marker Color Challenge) , using the chosen colors of Red, Yellow, Sand and Brown!

This month's challenges were sponsored by Gina K, so what perfect timing.

This is using a freebie image given out today by Gina K, and what a cutie. I love it. And it makes for a perfect CAS card!

Happy Thanksgiving!

If you've taken the time to drop by, I want you to know I wish you and yours a Wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

Sorry I don't have a card to show, I'm actually away from home and handing several out to family (and I forgot to take pics of all these too). First time we've gathered with this bunch in several years, and I'm enjoying it all. Hope you have time to spend with your family and friends and I'll post more in a few days!

Swagbucks

Currently Swagbucks has a new member offer.

If you use the code SBPAYSFORME when you sign up by November 23rd you will start off with 110 Swagbucks! It only takes 450 to get a $5 Amazon.com card. This is the best sign-up special I’ve seen so far. So get on board with Swagbucks and start saving up those Amazon.com cards for next Christmas. I use Swagbucks for my search engine and about every 3rd time I search something I win some points.

stamptacular Sunday....

Here's my entry into the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge.

I love punches! And I'm loving this new image too!

Craft Barn blog candy

Does this look YUMMY or what?!

Check it out here!

Til Nov. 25th

Love this new image....

I positively love this new image!

You can find it at Clear Dollar Stamps, and it was designed by Trudy Sjolander.

I was trying to make a more masculine card with it. I don't know, did I succeed? Well, it's not frilly and feminine anyway!

Hope you all are enjoying a wonderful Veteran's Day!

Christmas card for Clips N Cuts!

Well, here is my first Christmas card for the season. I'm entering this into the giveaway at Clips N Cuts! I always find some great videos there, and this latest was so cute, but I don't have any of the Lawn Fawn images she used, so I just went for it!

I just love this paper I used for the top of the card. It's from the Glitter Sweet Matstack.

Train station...

Here's a card I made for my brother Doug's retirement party today. He has worked for the railroad since he was 17 years old, going to school and then working at night. He just now retired a couple weeks ago at age 62.

So I thought this cute image from The Stamping Boutique was perfect!

And I found a sentiment/quote that was nearly perfect, I just changed the last line instead of saying "I sit at a work station" to a rest station! Although I don't really expect him to just rest.

Some Fall/Thanksgiving Wishes

Here's are a couple of Fall/Thanksgiving cards I've recently made for some family members I don't see very often.

I'm entering them into the karens-kakes-krafts challenge.

D2D image...

Here's my card for the progressive challenge over at Designed2Delight.

A very cute image this time. I can see potential for tons of cards using this image!

My Memories review and giveaway

Edited to add: The winner of the software giveaway is: LUANNE.

Congrats, and I'll be contacting you on how to proceed with the prize. Thank you ladies for joining in. I do think this is a good program for those wanting to start scrapbooking. So definitely consider getting it. I saw many others hosting giveaways too lately - Hope you others can win one of those!

REVIEW**

Look for a FANTASTIC giveaway at the end of my review!!!

I was contacted by My Memories Suite to review their Digital Scrapbooking Software.

Now, I am not a digital scrapbooker, or a scrapbooker really at all.

But I'm checking into all this as I want to start one for my granddaughter. So I decided to try it out because I want to make digital memory books of special events for my little Dahlia.

Who knows what could happen :)

The downloading was easy and after it was ready, I went back and downloaded several freebie quick pages and things too. And there are tons of tutorials. That's always helpful for me!

They are videos--which are right up my alley! I decided to just play around, and wow, it's very easy.

Now I have gone back and watched a couple quick tutorials on printing, and I also emailed asking a question which was promptly answered. So I am thrilled so far!

I opened the program with NO idea of what I was going to make and just started. First I made a 4 page scrapbook. I chose a photo book for those first baby pictures and went from there. I added embellishments, text, and so quick - I had these pages. I loved how easy it all was. And then I proceeded to

print one page off as a piece to use on a card - Now that is truly right up my alley!!

Sorry I couldn't get these to load up to show off, but if you go to the My Memories blog you can see how lovely they are, and they print up just a nicely as you see there!

And now for the GIVEAWAY!!

The My Memories Company is has given me another copy of the software to give away as a prize to one of you lucky Blog readers of my Blog.

This is what you need to do to be elgible:

1. First go to the My Memories Store and look at all their digital scrapbook papers.

2. Then come back here and comment on THIS post which one you liked the best. You have until Monday night, Halloween - 6 pm Central time to leave the comment.

4. Be sure to leave me your email contact information in the comment.

5. That's it! I will pick one lucky winner with Random.org and you will be on your way to making some fun projects too.

I also was given a SPECIAL COUPON CODE for anyone else that is interested in purchasing a copy of the software, or for anyone who finds out about this too late to join in.

If you look on the top of my Blog on the right - you will see the code and link. It will give you a $10 coupon off the software plus a $10 credit in the store equaling $20 off!

But.....you have to put in the special code to get the discount.

You can also find My Memories on Facebook HERE.

Thank you My Memories! I'm having such fun!

Blog candy of a different sort....

I just ran across a blog candy that I find unusual, and wish I had room for - so I'm telling you about it. go check out Little Musings right now and see what she has up for grabs! They are adorable. I just simply don't have room for them myself, or I'd be signed up!

Anyway, the drawing happens quickly and you are responsible for the shipping costs, but where else could you get an original piece of art like this for free?!

TSB - The Stamping Boutique

Here's another card with the cute boots and fall leaves! Stamping Boutique has some great images - go check them out!

Hands off the candy! WMC73

I am entering this into the Wee Memories Anything Goes Challenge .

I think this is a cute little Stamping Boutique image, and since I have made several trips to get candy for Halloween, it's quite appropriate too!

Birthday card for friend....

Here's a birthday card I made for a friend who's birthday is just before Halloween! I just couldn't resist this cute cupcake image from Limited Runs! Thanks Nikki!

D2D freebie image use!

Here's a cute little card using the pumpkins image from Designed2Delight this past week.

I saw this phrase, and totally agree with it!

And I love the spiderweb background papers I had.

Card Cupids Orange challenge

Here's my entry into the Card Cupids Orange challenge using The Stamping Boutique image. Doesn't that just make your mouth water? And would make a great Thanksgiving card (remember how some smartie says, "grace" instead of a blessing sometimes? Well, I included it already).

The winner of this challenge gets some Bugaboo images, so that's a great incentive too! Goes until Oct 22, I think - Check it out.

First things first....

Here are a couple of quick cards I made for the newest challenge at Designed2Delight. I love this freebie image and I intend to use it a lot!! I make tons of cards for our local fundraisers for breast cancer and also just some for survivors in general and this is a great image. Thanks!

Go check out the challenge and join in!

But I just got back this afternoon and I have tons to catch up on - give me a couple days and I'll have many more projects I'm sure!!

Still on vacation...

so no cards for right now.

I'm enjoying Florida and visiting with my Mom and Mel.
Mom had a great birthday, we got her new computer all set up and running.

Now I'm just relaxing for a few more days before heading back home. Miss hubby and my cute Dahlia. I have worked on a few pieces for cards, so may get a few up fairly quickly upon my reutrn.

The color Orange....GL#26

The challenge at
GingerLoft today is the color orange.

I happen to like this fall color, so it's easy-peasy for me. But I especially loved using it in the color of socks on display!

Come join in the fun and participate!

You have until Oct 15 at midnight. Then the top 3 will chosen and also random winners will get 3 digis from the GingerLoft store.

Thousand sheets of paper...

OKay, I've now joined the hundreds and hundreds who are trying to win this paper! Didn't know about it? Check it out Here

Dahlia Anne

Dahlia Anne got to meet her other Great Grandma recently. And she loved having all that attention!

Since this picture was taken she's had a first tooth pop through! And over the weekend she was walking all over the living room with just holding on with one hand. She's 8 months old now.

GingerLoft Vintage

Today's Challenge at GingerLoft is Vintage/Distressed.

And this is the little card I made. I always seem to need sympathy cards (don't we all) and I think this is a little more masculine so I'm glad to include it in my stash! I hope I don't have to use it for a while though.

This clock/leaf image is just perfect. And it would be a great image for a "fall" back daylight savings card too with those cute fall leaf faces.

Digi Darla entry

Here's my entry into the challenge over at Digi Darla's.

I decided to use both new freebie images for this card, as it was fitting the title and reason for the card! And, I hadn't made a shaped card in a while, and I love them.

Edited to add: I won with this card over at Digi Darla's!

reason for more cards... and I've made another DT team!!

Hi Everyone.

I had a lovely follower comment about me being on a roll with making more cards, and I must say that's true partly, but I've been making lots all the time, just not photographing them. And I've been trying to stock up a little on pieces by coloring as I go, just not assembling the cards.

I have made a few more cards since I'm not babysitting that lovely little granddaughter now also. We've had some big events - some of my in-laws came to visit last week (first time for that Great Grandma to get to see Dahlia!) and I'm also getting ready for my 40th High School reunion next weekend (and that is really scary!)

But I'm glad she noticed!

And one final bit of news -- I made the DT for The Stamping Boutique!! Just found out today! And I'm very excited.

Here's a card I made for the Nutcrafter's Challenge #1. This was a freebie image and so cute. This is not actually their first challenge, but it is since they re-opened.

They have some cute prizes, and this challenge runs until September 27 - so you still have plenty of time to participate. Get the freebie and join in!

CDAC

Here's the second card I've made for the CDAC Progressive Challenge.

OLW64

This is for the OLw64 CHALLENGE. I think my favorite cards are CAS or One Layer. It's a go-to for me. And this is such an adorable fall image, and my sister in law needed a card! What can I say!

Challenge - Back to School

Here's another card for the Back to School Challenge at Designed2Delight.

Naturally most people think of kids when thinking of back to school, but in our community, there are more and more going back at a Much Older Age. I wanted them included too!

Thanks for coming by to check it out!

I'm on a new team...

First things first, I want to announce that I'm a new DT team member of GingerLoft Designs. Please come back and look for a new posting on September 18th for the Vintage Challenge, and every two weeks thereafter.
Or just go to the Blog to check things out! There are lots of other members making some great cards!

Also, here's a card I made for the Designed2Delight Challenge.

2 Challenges - Wow for me!

This first card is using a freebie image from Ginger Loft, and it's for their challenge.

And if you used this image, you are supposed to get another freebie by email. Can't beat a deal like that!

And the second card is using a newest image from Designed2Delight.

Both images are so cute, and fit in perfectly with a couple of cards that I needed to send to some relatives for fall! I'm way behind on that type of correspondence!
