TSG08 - Challenge for this week

I believe I have complied with the rules for this challenge. I've used blues in the background papers and a different shade of blue for the fish, and black/white ribbon. My stepdad loves to fish, so he'll enjoy this card I think.

A Sketch Saturday #53 challenge entry

Well, I've been trying to get to some of the challenges that I've enjoyed and make an entry for myself. Today's is for Sketch Saturday. They have some blog candy up for grabs as this is their Birthday! Check them out.

I wish I'd done a couple different things, but this is what I did, so here it is!
I believe this works for the Simon Says "Animals" challenge this week too!
So far I make these challenges when I really do have a card needed for something, and this is no different. I have a girlfriend's birthday coming up, and she likes gardening, so I thought this would work nicely for her.

I think I'm getting the hang of this! And it's fun! I downloaded the Happy Birthday Irish Blessing freebie sentiment from Digiments and here is what I came up with for this challenge. It's a birthday card for a favorite nun who just loves to golf. I think she'll really enjoy this card. And I'd love it if I could win their entire release for next month! What a prize! Can you say Digital is the Way to Go?!

Another challenge for me...

Well, here I go again. I made a challenge card for the Little Paper Shop Challenge LPSC17 posted today using as close as I could to the color challenge of Pretty in Pink, Pale Plum, and Perfect Plum. I have a friend who has a birthday coming up soon, and I hope she'll like this card. I'd love to win the Flower Frenzy stamp set that's up for grabs with this one!

Well, the Friday, May 22nd challenge was using the sketch by Emily,and I thought I read to include Chocolate (maybe that's cause I was hungry?) and this so is my entry. I am dating myself for those of you who can recognize the sentiment (well, almost the same sentiment!) But it was the first thing that popped into my head as I read the challenge! Anyway, I like how it turned out, and my husband laughed when he saw it (he's older than me, so he recognized the sentiment!).

I am excited about this Blog Candy!!

Dustin Pike (a fav) is having his First Blog Candy and there is a catch! But it's great. You must send you project (card or whatever) to an individual from a particular site he's chosen for this one. Then post it on your blog and let him know. Ends June 6, so there's plenty of time to do it. Since you all know I love getting cards (see my candy listed above and JOIN IN), I'm all for this! Here's what I created using one of Dustin's freebies (I love this little dragon!).

Digital Tues Challenge #7 Tag

Well, I'm making attempts to get on board with some challenges, and this one pushed me.

I'm still learning so much by hopping around to all the wonderful blogs out there, but thought I'd give this one a try. I'm sure my friend will like it, but I now see a few more things I could have done better/more/something!

Oh well, you can't improve if you don't make attempts can you? I used the Martha Stewart punches for the edges where the tags are placed. And the paper was part of a Blog Candy Win back in January.

My new cards, and they work for The Simon Says Challenge this week too!

Well, here are a couple new cards from me. One is my nephew's Purdue graduation card. He's on his way to a new career in Galveston Texas.

I think he really liked the card, and he knew I worked hard to make it look like a graduation cap!

The next card is my brother-in-law's birthday card. I wanted to play up the cutesy BearKnight from Dustin Pike. Randy will love it I'm sure. The inside has a big package and I punched out a ton of balloons and attached them as if they were popping out of the package!

I believe both of these work for the Simon Says One For the Boys Challenge this week that ends on the 20th, so I'm going to submit them both!

Digiments challenge entry

I downloaded the Digiments DIGI1 file and created this card for a friend. The file was easy to work with, and I hope my friend enjoys the sentiment!
