BLOG CANDY.... postponed because not enough signed up

EDITED:
Unless I get at least 3 more comments before Noon today . . . just a couple of hours away . . . (and I didn't get more)
I will put off this candy until later - maybe August. I realize this candy isn't for everyone - some people who follow my blog aren't into reading much maybe, but I felt I needed that many to make this worthwhile. Since I have over 200 followers I felt 25 was a very reasonable requirement.
I'm extremely sorry for those who did as asked - please note that you will be in again for the drawing at the later date automatically as I'll save your names/entry.
EDITED to say that unless I get a minimum of 25 participants, I'll postpone this until later.
Hello everyone! Welcome to my newest blog candy offering. This candy is rather unusual.
Yes, I'll have a little carding-making candy included too (photo of that later), but the focal item is: This Book!
ABOUT THE BOOK
Andrew Scott’s stories take place in the Heartland, and they will land squarely in your heart. Unflinching but sweet-tempered, they ring as plaintive and pure as ballads.
Michael Parker, author of The Watery Part of the World and The Geographical Cure
In Naked Summer, Andrew Scott brilliantly conjures up my home state of Indiana, that in-between, mixed-up blend of farmland, suburbia, isolated towns and would-be cities stuck in the flyover, but he accomplishes much more than this. His stunning collection of stories also deftly captures those in-between states that everyone finds themselves in at some point—those times of limbo when we’re between jobs or relationships, or, most memorably, that last “naked summer” when childhood lingers and adulthood has not yet arrived. This is a heart-wrenching collection, at once hilarious and wise. I couldn’t put it down.
—Elizabeth Stuckey-French, author of The Revenge of the Radioactive Lady and Mermaids on the Moon

Andrew Scott’s stories are streamlined, intense, and unsettling. His characters don’t quite know themselves, but the author knows them well. They teeter in the margins of safety, in a way that many Americans have been pushed off the path to the dream. I recommend these stories highly.
Alice Elliott Dark, author of In the Gloaming and Think of England

Now, for the real story about this candy;
So I thought this was something unusual I could do to help promote his book, and give my readers a little something extra! You see, Andrew Scott is my son, and this is his book - a collection of short stories. We are so proud of him. This candy will remain on top until June 20 - so that gives you about 3 weeks to: Post about this on your blog; And leave a comment letting me know who your favorite author is and what's the latest book you read.

Congratulations to your son on his book, Terri and to you as his mom! I'm also a writer who knows how tough the industry can be, so to have a published book is such an accomplishment. And as a fellow Hoosier, I love reading books set in Indiana :)

I am such an avid reader, I have a huge list of favorite authors. But I'd have to put Karen Rose at the top of my "must reads". The book I just finished was Watch Me by Brenda Novak.

Thanks so much for the chance to win...I'd love to read Andrew's stories :)

How proud you must be to have a son that's a published author. Congratulations to you and your son. I just recently finished The Help, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson, I also like Diane Mott Davidson for a cozy culinary mystery. I don't have a blog. Hope it's okay to still enter for your candy. Congrats again proud Mama!!

Big congratulations to your son on his book!! What a proud mama you must be!! I'm a follower and I will post about this on my blog.

I'm a book fiend. I read mostly on my Kindle but do still read "real" books too! LOL The most recent book I have read was a funny historial romance by Julia Quinn called Just Like Heaven. It was a good one. Picking a favorite author is more of a challenge because I have so many of them. But the first names to come to mind were Stephen King, Harper Lee, Ilona Andrews. Talk about eclectic reading tastes!! LOL
Good luck to your son on his book sells!! Stacy H-W

Oh how fun to say "Yeah my son is an author". I bet if any of my kids grew up to do that I would carry a copy in my purse and tell anyone who would listen:)
I haven't read a book in oh gosh...ages! But my fave are cowboy romance novels:)

By the way; thanks for visiting my blog and playing along with me:)

That's awesome that your son has a book published. Congrats to your son. Thanks for the chance to win. I don't really have much time to read, but right now I am reading "Othello" for my English class. I know I need to start reading more or at least that's what my husband keeps telling me. :-)

Well done to your son.I bet you are proud of him x

I must say my favourite author is Martina Cole, just love her books. At the moment I am reading a book that I half inched off my daughter. It's called a secret shoppers revenge, a bit slow to start with but I am quite enjoying it now. I read on my way to and from work whilst travelling on the train.

Congratulations to you all, you must be very proud. I am sorry you have experienced nasty comments. One of my favourite writers is Dean Koontz, I also love Georgette Heyer for her romantic historic novels. I hate swearing, graphic sex and violence in my books, when I told my mother I was going to write without them she I wouldn't sell my stories! Actually I have never tried as they are all short stories.

Cool! Sounds like a fun book! I wonder why I didn't see this post before in the reader...Anyway, I'd like to be entered. I'll put a link on my sidebar. My favorite author is Victor Villasenor and currently I'm reading Great Expectations because I'm sure I did the cliff notes version in high school, Lol. But I'm enjoying it now. Thanks for the chance!
